Project Officer - 14 month fixed term contract
Location: Wimborne or remote
Hours: Full-time
Salary: DOE
About the role
We’re looking for a project officer to join us on a fixed term contract for 14 months.
Your responsibilities will include
- Working closely with the project manager, wider project team and business leads to provide support and knowledge sharing to meet project workload demands
- Working closely with subject matter experts to understand business requirements
- Investigating potential solutions and evaluating their viability
- Identifying and communicating risks, remediations, assumptions, issues and dependencies
- Coordinating implementation of agreed solutions
- Supporting testing activities to ensure that all is delivered within time and quality expectations
- Producing and delivering papers, reports and communications relevant to the work packages
- Supporting business transition and helping establish change
- Assisting with development of business cases
About you
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has strong interpersonal skills with ability to work independently and within a team
- Has a methodical approach to process; an aptitude for accuracy and attention to detail
- Has a good organisational and communications skills.
- Has am awareness of agile and waterfall project methodologies
- Is familiar with delivery tools such as Teams and Jira
- Shows excellent communication skills - written and verbal, with an ability to convey complex information to a broad audience
- Is comfortable and flexible working in a fast paced environment
- Is self-motivated with the ability to prioritise effectively to meet deadlines
- Has an ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Has an understanding of change management and experience in identifying and applying appropriate approaches
- Shows a positive "can do" attitude and is highly analytical;
- Understands project management principles, practices, techniques and tools including facilitation, organisation and co-ordination
- Has a risk management awareness including analysis of root causes
